Tenderly held in a divine embrace, the Holy Family receives the Christ child. Hovering white doves and kneeling lambs join the scene under starlit blue heavens. The artisan creates a gentle interpretation of the first Christmas, in a new-world setting where the personages wear traditional Andean dress. Crafted by hand, each piece is individually shaped of clay and fired to perfection, then delicately painted with colorful enamel. An opening in the back permits a votive candle to be inserted.
